Life on the line !

“Nothing hurts more than pouring your soul into a film, only to have your worth hijacked by those with more power. A debut director is not just a name on a project—we shape its vision, fight for every frame, and carry its weight. But when someone oversteps, takes credit, or silences that voice, it’s not just unfair—it’s theft. Cinema thrives on collaboration, not control. Respect the storyteller.
For them, it’s just another power move. For the director, it’s their entire life’s work on the line.
A director doesn’t just show up to set. They live with the story long before a single frame is shot. They carry the weight of every decision, every compromise, every sleepless night. But the moment the cameras roll, the vultures circle. The very ones who promised ‘creative freedom’ start demanding changes that kill the soul of the film. And by the time it’s done, the one who shaped it the most is treated like they were just along for the ride.
This industry rewards those who take, not those who create. And that needs to change.
Debut directors—protect your work. Demand contracts that keep your creative control intact. Call out those who try to hijack your vision. And if you ever feel like you’re being erased, fight back. Because while others can move on to their next project, a director’s entire future depends on how their first film is seen!

Could have been longer, but well..
